Price.com

marketing lead, designer + social media marketer 👩‍🎨 • january 2020 - june 2020

Price.com is a startup based in San Francisco. Below is a high-level overview of some social and creative work I produced and collaborated on. I managed all social production, creation, and execution.

UC Davis - Cross Cultural Center

social media marketing coordinator 👩‍🎨 • august 2019 - jan 2020

Instagram Layout - 2018 vs. 2019

Structure:  Alternating in posts by flyer, photo, flyer so it creates a diamond shape

Photography: Having a photo database (making sure communities actively taking pix of events to incorporate into social media)Photos with people are much more likely to receive engagement

Colors: a lot more playful, bright, organized (photos were edited to be more vibrant and fit the aesthetic)

In contrast on the right (2018), prior to taking the position, the media page had incorrectly sized flyers, no consistency in colors or design elements, and not many photos so I wanted to reimagine and recreate all of these items!

Three digital posters featuring portraits of young women with their names, roles, pronouns, and fun facts, set against a dark blue, starry background.

Staff Highlights

I thought a great way for the CCC audience and community to interact with the people who work and run the vents and programs of the CCC, to showcase who we are. I designed the graphics and interviewed each of the staff for information regarding the highlights! It helped in terms of branding our openness and environment collectively.

Blue abstract background with circles and brush strokes, displaying text about winter quarter 2020, week 3 at a cross-cultural center.
A colorful abstract poster advertising Week 1 of the Fall Quarter 2019 at the Cross Cultural Center, featuring orange, beige, and white shapes and designs.
Spring quarter 2020, Week 5, Cross Cultural Center informational graphic with abstract green shapes.

Instagram Story Newsletters

Part of implementing new social media strategies including an idea I created to curate Instagram Newsletters on stories!

Since the CCC hosts at least 3 events a week, I thought it would be very helpful and engaging for students on campus to see the events that occur throughout the week.

I developed mini-newsletters on Instagram Stories by showcasing the events for the week!

Other Collective

design editor + social media manager 👩‍🎨 • september 2018 - june 2020

As the design editor of Other Collective at UC Davis, I also have the liberty of designing the content that is displayed on our social media profiles. We showcase the written content of our website and magazine information on Instagram and Facebook.

I began implementing a style that contains our (1) color aesthetic (2) photography from the article and (3) a snippet of text to keep readers engaged. Below are Flyers and examples of flyers created for Other Collective.

Text overlay on a blue textured background about Mahmoud Darwish, a Palestinian poet, activist, and cultural icon, mentioning his birth in 1941 in Palestine during World War II, his upbringing amidst political upheaval, and his exile.
Event poster for Other Collective Magazine release party featuring artist Pooja Pallavi aka Fijiana, with a woman playing drums.
City street scene with a person looking at a flag on a lamppost, buildings, and a storefront.
Portrait of a man with dark hair, glasses, wearing a blue shirt and dark jacket, outdoors with trees in the background.
Event flyer for Other Collective's magazine release party, Issue II, featuring activities, raffle, refreshments, on Monday, January 27, at 7:30 PM in the multi-purpose room, with images of magazine covers.
Announcement poster for a magazine release party, indicating one week remaining until the event on January 27, with activities, raffle, and refreshments, featuring a partial image of a magazine titled 'Displacement'.

Another aspect was developing social media marketing material for the Displacement Issue (2020) which followed the magazine theme and style. More information about the magazine design is located here.
